How to Embed A Model-driven App in Microsoft Teams

Model-driven apps in Microsoft Teams enables better collaboration for many organizations and in this blog l am going to go through how we Enable Microsoft Teams Integration for model-driven apps 1. Navigate to the Power Platform Admin Center. (https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/) and Click  Settings 2 .Expand Integration settings and click on Microsoft Teams Integration . 3. Set Allow model-driven apps to be embedded within Microsoft Teams to On . 4. Click on Additional Microsoft Teams settings 5. Navigate to System Settings 6. Set Enable Basic Microsoft Teams Integration   and Enable Enhanced Microsoft Teams integration  settings to Yes. Note: You require System Admin and Tenant Admin Permissions respectively. Enabling these settings may take few minutes. Note at this point you will be prompted to give the app permissions stated in the image below: 7. Once Completed, the screen below will be displayed 8. After making changes to the settings click on Save in the Admin Portal

How to configure and run a Cloud Flow in a Model-driven app

In this blog post l will  be writing about how to to trigger multiple/single emails for opportunities in Dynamics 365 CE using Microsoft Power Automate and then Updating the Opportunity row (Record) Status. I will go through steps to create the Cloud Flow in Microsoft Power Automate and show how to run the Cloud flow in Dynamics 365 CE. To get started you will need to do the following 1. Navigate to Power Automate as shown Below: 2. Select Solutions > Cloud Flow  *Note that, it is advisable to create this within a Solution 3 Select your connector  Common Data Service > trigger When a record is selected  4. Select Environment Default > Entity Name Opportunities 5. Select Table  > Accounts >  Row ID  >  Account 6. Now you need to configure the step to send an email and put some text in the email body. Following questions from the Microsoft Power Platform Community Africa colleagues on how to assign a custom security role to a model driven App? I decided to write something to help. In this blog post l will go through steps of assigning a custom security role to a model drivel app. So to start off we have created a custom model-driven app called Microsoft Power Platform Community Africa and also created custom security role named Microsoft Power Platform Community Africa role, therefore users assigned or have this security role can only access the custom Microsoft Power Platform Community Africa  App. To assign a security role to the model driven app, do the following: 1. In this blog post l am going to write about one of many of my favourite features which Microsoft brought to model driven apps in recent times, AI Builder is designed to help their customers to easily automate processes and predict outcomes to help improve business performance. With a few simple steps here is how you can set up this out of the box functionality to leverage the AI Business Card Reader functionality 1 . Navigate and login into your Dynamics 365 online instance , Open Advanced Settings then Select Customization and click on Customize the system.  2 . A New Customization window will open. In this case configure the Business Card Reader for the Contact Table (previously known as Entity ) by Opening the Contact Table Form. 3. Unable to Create a Dynamics 365 Trial

Issue I was trying to create free dynamics 365 trial instance ( https://trials.dynamics.com/ ). But in " Create your business identity " step number 3 I was not getting a  textbox to create username. which meant l am unable to proceed to create a trial. Steps Taken  1. Cleared Browser Cache and tried different browsers and issue is still present 2. How to Query Microsoft Dataverse Data using SQL from Power BI or SSMS

Microsoft in recent months made available a much requested feature by many with the additional way to access read-only data in Microsoft Dataverse. The TDS endpoint for Microsoft Dataverse allows read-only access to Dataverse for reporting and analytics requirements. The Tabular Data Stream (TDS) Protocol endpoint functionality is managed by an administrator with access to the Admin center. This feature becomes a game changer as many Microsoft customers who required this feature and often went down the root of the Data Export Service can now start exploring this capability Prerequisites: To get started using this feature, you will need to ensure that TDS endpoint is enabled as this is required to be able to use this feature via Power BI or SSMS. Users Unable to See Flow Button and run On Demand workflows in Dynamics 365 CE

Overview. Dynamics 365 CE provides functionality to automate business processes in the background or on a click of a button requiring a user to initiate this automation. In this blog post the scenario is focused on an issue a user may experience while using dynamics 365 CE on automation which is initiated by a user looking to use an On Demand. This automation triggered by a user is called an on-demand workflow. Problem When a user goes into Dynamics 365,  they are unable to see or run a workflow/flow which may have been created. So how do you resolve this issue?
